Every player on GCCDLE is added and checked by hand from public
tournament records. Here's where the information comes from, who
makes the roster, and how I handle anything I can't confirm.

regions
"Searchable" is the full pool you can guess from in Global Daily.
"Daily-eligible" is the subset that can be the mystery player — retired
players without a last known team are excluded from the daily draw, though
they remain searchable as guesses.
In a regional mode (NA, EMEA, LATAM, BR, Pacific),
both halves are scoped to that region: the answer is always from the region,
and the search box only lists players whose current region matches — so you
won't see players from other regions in that mode's guess list.
Where it comes from
Sources
The roster is built from two public records. vlr.gg is the main one;
where a player also has a Liquipedia page, their details get a second
look against it. Everything is reviewed by hand.
Primary
vlr.gg
The main source. Player profiles, team history, match results, and
event participation all come from vlr.gg first. Only official
Riot-hosted Game Changers events count — third-party events
outside Game Changers are left out.
Secondary
Liquipedia
Used only to double-check. Where a player has a Liquipedia page,
their nationality and career details are compared against vlr.gg.
Nothing is ever taken from Liquipedia on its own.
!
When the two sources disagree on something — a nationality, a debut
year, which team someone was on — that player gets set aside and
looked at by hand instead of guessing. Anything I still can't
confirm shows up as a gray "unknown" box in the game rather than a
made-up value.
The criteria
Who's included
GCCDLE covers official Riot-hosted
VALORANT Game Changers events from 2021 through 2026 — the full run
of the circuit so far.
But not every player who touched a GCC event makes the roster.
The eligibility line is specifically:
Only players who appeared in a league stage or championship
with a direct line to the year-end Game Changers Championship
— the main competitive pathway.
This means the main league/stage at each regional circuit level — the
competition where playoff seeding and Championship qualification actually happen.
Side events that don't feed into the Championship bracket are out,
even if Riot ran them.
Out of scope
Who's excluded
Plenty of people show up around Game Changers events but don't make
the roster:
- Coaches, analysts, managers, team staff, and any non-player personnel — role must be "player" (including stand-in and substitute players)
- Players whose only marginalized-genders-circuit appearances were in third-party events: Spike Ladies, Taça das Minas, Project Queens, and similar non-Riot events
- Players who only appeared in open or closed qualifiers, feeder leagues, contender brackets, or standalone cups — events with no direct Championship line
- Sub-regional events in East Asia that don't feed to the main Pacific Championship pathway
Players who are currently retired, inactive, or free-agents remain in the
searchable pool. Their current team is recorded as their last known active team.
They are excluded from the daily-eligible pool only if their last
known team cannot be determined.
A note on Team
Current team is career-wide
A player's "current team" in GCCDLE is their most recent active
VALORANT team — this does not have to be a GC org.
Players who moved to Tier 1, partnered, or international teams are
tracked at their current org, not their last GC team.
This reflects where they actually compete today.
How I handle gaps
Accuracy over completeness
I'd rather show a gray "unknown" box than guess at a real person's
nationality, team, or career history. Anything I couldn't confirm is
left blank and shown as unknown in the game. Making up details about
real players isn't something I'll do, even for a puzzle.
Spotted something wrong? You'll be able to flag it from inside the
game so it can be checked and fixed.
